I never expected to get goosebumps from watching a bootleg video, but "Caught a Glimpse" does it to me everytime.

Ya know, Chronotheme was just a beast live at the Chattanooga venue, and probably better at the Roadhouse. Quite pleased to see that one dusted off and reinvigorated.

Glad to see y'all did the Matt/Fred drum-fest again, that really added a lot of fun to the set.

Saaaay, did I inadvertently debut (possibly) incomplete or non-polished versions of these tunes a couple years back on my old Internet radio show? Should I do it again? (the show I mean. if I were doing it I'd fer sure have Trurl on the playlist) I'm trying to remember. Is the title an abstruse refe...

Likely because you scored very very low on the "dumb / dork / awkward" part, way lower than I did. Congrats on that!!! Maybe the running of races and stuff is raising your social skills scores??? :D

Perhaps an on-line reading/discussion group on That Hideous Strength might be interesting. It's an incredibly important book, but I didn't realize it the first time I read it (and I was too young, and inexperienced, to really understand what Lewis was getting at). Reading it near the end of my PhD s...

If you like King's X, Ty's solo albums are a must, especially "Moonflower Lane". Platypus is cool, maybe a bit skitzofrenic. But Jelly Jam is amazing! So correct, yanks. I'd almost rather see The Jelly Jam than King's X at 3RP - scratch that, I'd definitely rather see The Jelly Jam - but if I make ...

First? Boston's debut LP. Last DVD? Live at Tivoli. Most recent CDs? Well, this is cheating, but I'm about to order (from ArkivMusic) two CDs featuring Gustavo Dudamel conducting the Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela : Fiesta (Latin American composers) and Mahler, Symphony #5 . You've never...

How about A Christmas Album by the California Guitar Trio? Everything from "For Unto Us" from Handel's Messiah to an acoustic surf-rock version of Jingle Bells.

I'm also partial to Ancient Noels by Maggie Sansone and Ensemble Galilei. And played on period instruments, too.
