Can't get enough!!

Hey, Hope everyone is well. I've been gone again, and you say "so what" Well, I finally recieved my copy of "Live at Nearfest" and I was completely astounded. A truly fantastic recording, Thanks GH. Anyway, I would be grateful to know if GH will be passing through Pittsburgh,Pa or anywhere in Pa.soo...

Forum Converstion on TIS

Maybe some have already seen this, but there is a forum post at Prog Archives.com that is favorable to TIS. Most of the posts are very positive ,but always there are those who seem to be hard to please. Like the man who would be in bed with Catherine-Zeta-Jones and find something to complain about. C...

Just listened to the clip "Creation" from Dave Walliman. Sounds excellent from the 30 seconds I heard. Satriani and Vai influence? Good luck GH with this guitarist I'm sure everything will be superb.

I"ve been away for awhile and just read about Walter Moore. My deepest and heartfelt prayers go out to Walter and all members of GH. I certainly hope the authorities will find and punish this criminal. We occupy a dark and angry planet, and this incident is truly heartbreaking. I am available to help...

sorry

Hey Diehard, I didn't mean to offend anyone, especially the young ones. You must admit, that women do possess the most wonderous of "gardens."And believe me when I say, I kicked Mcartney right out of that "garden."

Geo and Fred, Geo you are absolutely right, Fred you seem to be not just an excellent musician, but a good human. Modesty is a tremendous virtue.Maybe I wasn't specific enough, I was just curious as to what Prog Keyboard players GH fans appreciated.BTW,Fred my buddy just called after listening to TIS...

All-Time Best

About a week ago I was on Prog-Archives and reading some polls. One in particular which caught my eye was the "5Best keyboard players. Out of about 35 posts Fred Shendel's name was never mentioned( or I just didn't see it) Now, I have a background in musical theory and can read music. Before my inju...

Thanks

Once again ther are the "Beatles." I wonder if there is anything they haven't influenced. Their fabric seems to extend everywhere. Do you remember in the early "60's Beatle trading cards were available? I like the one was Paul the walrus. I dated a girl once who had a pair of Beatle panties. It was ...

John Mclaughlin and Miles Davis

Hermit, I would recommend Inner MountingFlame, Birds of Fire, Between Nothingness and Eternity; all by Mahavishnu Orchestra. "Extrapolation" by Mclaughlin also is a superb album. I surely never meant to slag Miles Davis, for as a young kid that was all I ever heard played in my house by me Dad( Mayb...

A Theory

Having just had a serious session with the herb of Mother Nature, my brain is abounding with musical theories. (albeit based on opinion, with some medicinal assistance) I am an active musical listener, meaning I sit with headphones and after repeated listens with no distractions, I then give my asses...

Tales

I have been listening to Yes--"Tales from Topograghic Oceans." I have the Rhino/Electra remaster. I always felt this album was a courageous effort by Yes. Obviously ambitious in it's musical scope, there was nothing like it in 73-74. I also feel it is one of the definitive Prog recordings of the 1970...

A Sad World

I find it appalling that people would verbally attack others for their opinions and feelings about music. Sadly, this is a reflection of the world in which we live. We occupy a dark, disturbed and angry planet. GH's music has pulled the depression dogs from my door, and for that I am eternally gratef...

I will Pray

I am sorry to hear of Flo's recent car accident. I assure you I will Pray for her complete recovery. I beleive God does answer prayers, sometimes we don't get the answers we want . Maybe we are asking the wrong questions. Anyway, Flo get better and know that you are in my prayers. God bless all.

I'm tracking

Actually, that's a very good ? I don't know about you, but when I was a kid in the early60's our elders were referred to as mr. and mrs. You have given me the impetus to go tracking, August and September are the best times(really every month is) because the weather is warmer and that seems to encour...
