Iggy just wanna be your dog.

Legend in Ann Arbor (back in the 70s) was that he was the valedictorian at Pioneer High School in his day. The answer is probably on the web somewhere.

He was one of those rare vocalists who's performing style often led physical injury to his person.

The Complilations 1996-2004

Once again, Glass Hammer has made the great Sam Karnick's short list of the best prog albums (for 2006-2007).

The 'Stick'

I've seen the Stick played live in an ECM-type jazz environment. Definitely a tap and sustain Hackett-y instrument. The guitarist (stickist?) played the model that combines guitar and bass, but as it happens, he is now switching to a 'guitar only' model. In the hands of a good musician, it is quite ...

It's no small achievement to get their approval. There's no grade inflation on that web site. Kudos on a great DVD. I'm patiently (almost) waiting for the next one...

Another coveted "DPRP Recommended!"

The Live at Belmont DVD gets a very positive review at the always tough Dutch Progressive Rock Page. The reviewer loved the music, the sound and the camera work. Also a special mention for 'young hotshot' David Walliman. The score would really have been in rarified air, but he didn't like the extras...

Inspired choice! The Glass Hammer treatment would be superb. And it would lend itself very nicely to an icing of shred guitar...

Karnick is the best. Unlike most critics, he knows his material and he has mastered the use of the English Language. The NRO article has some common ground with an article he recently did for Tech Central Station: http://www.tcsdaily.com/article.aspx?id=102605H If Karnick mentions a group I don't kn...

My boss recommended Sarah M to me about four years ago. I'd heard the radio tunes but wrote her off as one of those boring Lilith (excellent MacDonald book by the way) Fair womyn artists. Indeed, a brilliant, unique, and unclassifiable tome by MacDonald. Almost no one knows of it. Sarah M is pretty...

Excellent page, informative; excellent video clip, but longer would be nice; I like the idea of the surround concert DVD and the bonus DVD. More to the point, when can we pre-order?

Perhaps I missed something in that it was deleted too quickly for me to read, but I don't recall Peter the High King insulting any member of this board personally and he certainly didn't use any questionable language. He criticized Pat Robertson and anti-semitism. As far as I know, Pat isn't a memb...

Classic EP. They really had the foreign office roof covered on that one.

It snowed around Christmastime in Texas last year. Everyone thought it was cool. No one freaked out. :P Ahhh, the Christmas Eve blizzard... We had about a half inch on the west side of Houston. A friend took a picture of a snowman surfer on the beach at Galveston, where they had about 3 inches. In ...
