I've had Francis the Mute for quite a while & I still can't decide if I like it or not. I'm old enough to dislike it as Prog based on all that has come before (Yes, Genesis, ELP etc). But there are some very good moments in there. I will continue to give it the occasional listen & continue to refine...

My basic rule for musicians (& actors) is not to worry about their political or religious convictions. I like or don't like their works based solely on how the music (or movie) affects me. Sometimes the subject matter will affect an opinion. Sometimes the art is enough to get past that. I liked Neil...

I absolutely have to agree with your assessment regarding Breathless! I had the same experience after watching the Live At Bellmont DVD. KOTN & HCAG are indeed awe-inspiring on TIS, but live, the band takes those songs to another level. I would love to see GH in person. Maybe someday I will. Possibl...

I just ordered the signed DVD. Took a few minutes to authorize, but got the confirmation email almost immediately. Yes was always the top of the list for me. I've loved Wakeman's keyboard work for a long time. I am interested to see the conversion rate from GBP to USD - about 2 - 1. Plus, I believe ...

Under the circumstances, I'll take the CD in place of the shirt.

A T-shirt only lasts a few years, but great music is forever.

I've updated my Soundclick page with six new tunes since my last post. Instrumental/Progressive Rock - all done with software - I've got a lot to learn about the process. Any comments or critiques will be appreciated & thanks for listening. Direct link to music page... http://www.soundclick.com/band...

My ability to read music is pretty atrocious. I can usually figure things out pretty well (playing them is another thing entirely).

Received my copy yesterday. So far I've only watched "Knight of the North", "Having Caught A Glimpse", & "Heros And Dragons". All I can say is BRAVO. Many Kudos to all involved. Very moving. Knight is very good on TIS, but live, it takes on a whole new quality. I especially like the interplay betwee...

I'm listening the Francis The Mute now. I agree with your assessment & reference to Zappa. I bought the CD based on all the chatter on a couple of other Prog boards. There are hoards of proggers out there who think this is the second coming or something. I'm way out in left field on this on. I just ...

I haven't heard Deadwing yet & I just got Francis The Mute - This one will take a lot of getting used to. I don't think its all that Prog. I have heard other Porcupine Tree & while its Prog-ish, its not nearly as Prog as TIS I voted for our Heros, of course, not because this is their forum - because...
