Saying 'danger here' then following it with 'does' would technically be incorrect. Resident Linguist says: No, it's perfectly correct. Subject: danger. Adverb: here. Auxiliary Verb: does. Verb: dwell. I think you're thrown by the fact that using "does" in an "unmarked" verb situation is not normal ...

Into Thin Air is a close runner up, but repeats 'climb' a bit much. That might be one of the things I like about it. I don't know about you, but for me and my life, just metaphorically telling myself once, "Yeah, we're going to climb. Ok," isn't going to cut it. I need to constantly hear it a...

Let me put it this way:

Ember Without Name is lyrically outstanding. Into Thin Air is a close runner up, but repeats 'climb' a bit much.

(edit)

Actually, now that I think about it, I think either Light By Light or Rest's lyrics take second place.

Well I understand your point on that. Saying 'danger here' then following it with 'does' would technically be incorrect. Even saying the line as 'Here is where danger dwells' is more proper than having the line start with the latter. However, if you pay attention to the way Carl sets up the lyrics f...

I don't get Ember's lyrics. But just reading Into Thin Air's lyrics sent chills down my spine, and still do whenever I hear them. I don't totally either-but the possibilities are extremely intriguing. I doubt Carl's intent is totally one-dimensonal. It has many possibilities and implications-and ha...

As for that lyric line, what else would the band have used? I personally think Ember's lyrics are of the best lyrics GH has put out (My favorite probably being Long and Long Ago's)...

Bottom line: time to get out of music unless it's a hobby. It's over as an occupation.
I unfortunately do not disagree with that statement.

All of which reminds me: I used to read (and 'used to' being: up until about a month ago) Fred's last name as 'Shrendal'.

I would choose Ember over Into Thin Air any day. I like both songs, but Ember is one of the most intricate, delicate, yet intense and blazing songs I have ever heard by this band. The lyrics are downright genius, and the string trio just blows the song into a huge spectrum of infinite awesome with t...

Its a pretty even toss-up now for me with SS,EWN, and Rest., and the other three are close behind! The most CONSISTANT PROG album in a long, long time-maybe 1972(CTTE). That might be overreacting. I mean, my own list of top three albums would go: Close To The Edge Larks' Tongues In Aspic The Inconso...

I didn't see it. And when I searched it, the thing kept telling me something like 'time expired'. I would like to see it though.

 To think, that I get an equivalent amount of childish humor from this forum, made up of people mostly over 20 or so, as much as I do from a forum comprised of mostly young teenagers!
