You know you are getting old when you card someone at a party and the year they were born was the year you graduated high school. You know you are getting old when you've had hobbies longer than some of your friends have been alive. You know you are getting old when events you experienced first hand...

I'm excited about being able to share the wonderful show with a few friends who couldn't make it that day. And getting to see it again and again myself.

Happy, happy Birthday to you, Samwise. I knew it was some sort of holiday when I woke. (Then I saw my shadow and got scared.) Now I know it is the anniversary of the day when the wonderful Stephanie came into our world.

These questions for whoever wishes to answer them: When you were contacted to play a concert at scholarly conference for the works of C.S. Lewis, what went through your mind? What considerations did you make for this show that might not have been required for a show like NEARfest or a hometown show?...

I agree with Brian. If you haven't seen the series, you can jump into the movie. (Although I'd be remiss as a Browncoat if I didn't suggest the series first.)

I love his turn on Astonishing X-Men and hope Marvel lets him keep the gig for a good, long while.

The page looks good. The video is a good teaser. You manage to get good shots in of almost all the band and choir throughout. I agree that you picked a good part of the show to highlight. As for negative feedback: the second or so of 'dead air' between the opening teaser and the concert clip is dist...

Happy-happy birfday, Bethany. Happy-happy day. What you can't see is me doing the Birfday Dance of the Bog People right now. (And count your blessings that you can't. The people in the cubes around me are starting to turn pale.)

I'm a big Joss fan as well and loved Serenity. I miss Farscape and Firefly a lot. I can't get into Battlestar Galactica, though. They have such good ideas, but I find the writing heavy handed... lacking in subtlety. I've watched several different episodes and enjoyed parts of them. But, back on subj...

I'd held out asking for the time off until the official announcement was made. Looks like I'm still holding out. I'm sad there won't be a show in January, but hopeful something will come through in the new year. Consider two of my precious vacation days still earmarked for a GH show.
