Re: Perilous to be released OCTOBER 23!!!!!

After a number of listens, the album is even better. I have noticed a number echoes from previous albums, in both lyrics and music, but I need to listen more to remember the specifics. I love the way Perilous closes out, with the contrast of In that Lonely Place to the previous tracks, and the brill...

Re: Arjen Anthony Lucassen

How about Bjorn Lynne? I wouldn't have heard of him if he hadn't been on a Glass Hammer Album. Some gooderns are "The Gods Awaken," "Return to Witchwood" among others.

Re: Got it!

The Dutch Progressive Rock Page has just posted a major Cor Cordium review. It is a five person roundtable, which shows the importance of the release from their perspective. It is very positive:

Re: Got it!

Have had a chance to listen 4-5 times, not enough for a Glass Hammer album, but enough for my first impressions. For me, Nothing Box , One Heart , To Someone , and She, a Lonely Tower , are absolutely brilliant--as good as any Glass Hammer work. Salvation Station and Dear Daddy have very thoughtful ...

Re: South Side Of The Sky...

It's interesting to see the reactions to SSotS. I liked the Tivoli version a lot. I was surprised by the version on CoA, but it grew on me quickly. As they both have aged in the oak barrel of my mind, I don't know if I could favor one over the other. I'm glad to have both versions.

Re: Look, it's me!!

Congrats to both Shanocles and Fred! I am expecting my second grandchild in March, so I am a little further down the road... My wife and I have been married 35 years, and our youngest of four is just about to graduate from college. It is still entertaining to take it all in, even when your kids are ...

Re: If review All About Jazz

Very positive review. I would also disagree with the creativity comment, even though it was modified by the word 'massively.' Interesting to the see the review on a jazz site. Perhaps the comment reflects the view of a jazz critic's definition of what 'creative' is. It would tend to be quite differe...
