The EP was an Extended Play album- right in between, at 10". In my experience the EP came in 2 other formats, both of which could contain more music than a 45, but less than an LP: 1. a 7" disc which was played at 33 rpm 2. a 12" disc which was played at 45 rpm I believe some Beatles EPs were of ty...

Crucible from Connecticut, USA. Most people hear some 70's prog band influences, especially early Genesis. They also use vintage keyboards (Hammond, Mellotron, analog synths). I run their official website at http://spoon.5u.com/Crucible/main.html . They have 2 CDs out, Tall Tales (1998) and Curtain...

Re: Thanks.

Thanks a lot. Now you've ruined it for all of us! **sniff** Sorry. If it helps, I have found that repeated playings of the CD lessens the clarity of the mental image, as long as I don't play the video to reinforce it. (I still have to suppress a giggle every time I hear that line, though.) g

Re: I'll have to check them out!

Wow! That's so cool! I'm going to have to get one of their albums now! I love medieval music! Which do you think I should get? The first album Gryphon (1973) is the most medieval-sounding, but my personal favorite is Red Queen to Gryphon Three (1974). Less medieval, but more proggy, and it's usuall...

KAYA>| (no backwards "K" on my keyboard)

Did you say Kayak? I love this band! The old stuff are great! :D They are Dutch you know! I have most of the old stuff on vinyl, but nothing on CD yet. Just to clarify, since this band came up because of the recorder discussion, Kayak doesn't use recorders much; "Relics from a Distant Age" (I mista...
