Obviously I'm playing catch-up. I've visited one church that had strings - sometimes. I'd be plenty happy to hear of others in Southern Middle Tennessee that I could visit, and perhaps find an outlet for my fantasies of actually *playing* my stringed instrument! Offline, if that's appropriate. We ma...

Can we see the concert and skip the forum? I've never read any C.S. Lewis. When it comes to fiction, I'm pretty much illiterate. Hey, Lewis wrote non-fiction too. Lots of it. Some of it pretty specialized - he was an Oxford don after all - but not all. 'Surprised by Joy' for instance is auto...

Yup. Sounds like a "can't miss" to me.

A weekend featuring prog and C.S.Lewis geeks! What could be better?

> I like the "There's No Place like 127.0.0.11" stickers best. Oh, that is classic! Anyone interested in the "why" of geeks/nerds should read the essay "Why Nerds are Unpopular" at http://www.paulgraham.com (clicks Essays and scan for the title in the ensuing page). This is also a chapter in his boo...

(anyone who followed their last season will see the resemblance

Everytime I get it in my head to "read all Lewis' works" I find more of them. Before college I read the Narnia series and the "Space Trilogy". I didn't understand The Power That Preserves at all. Then. Fast forward many years, and I decided that it was time to grok tPTP, so I took it up again...
