Re: Todd Rundgren

I hate to admit it, but I saw Todd during his Utopia tour (1974?) at Pine Knob in Michigan. It was a good show. Very professional. As I remember, the album was about 50 minutes long, pushing the limit on how close the grooves could be on the vinyl before you lost too much dynamic range.[/quote] You ...

Good interview. I'm a little bummed I admit, getting to see the band again at 3RP, first time since Nearfest, but no strings and none of the women on vocals. I'm trying to imagine the band without any female vocals and having a tough time, it's become my favorite part of the GH sound. Well dang it ...

Todd Rundgren

Rock icon Todd Rundgren will be in Chattanooga at Rhythm n Brews April Fools Day(No joke). Todd had a progressive period with Utopia in the mid-late 70's including one of my desert island discs, "RA".Still can't believe he's coming here, have to catch this one!

Great interview, learned a few things. Tour of the northeast? Would that be as a headliner or opener?

Are you calling me a oxy-MORON??? haha. You're right though, thought about it after I wrote it. Back when I had my surround sound hooked up-it was awesome on that. The bonus version of "America" really rocks too. It does sound good on headphones though tooo.

And they have influenced so many other bands that became so much more famous than them while being so much less talented. "Its love" off of FHAL was a moderate hit and video, and "Black Flag" off the next disc got some air play, but thats about it. But hey-what does the general public know, no accou...

Dont be scared widow. They are an awesome, incredibly talented hard rock band. Imagine elements of Black Sabbath and James Gang mixed with Beatlesque vocals, incredibly tight vocals, and production, solid songwriting, and overall incredible musicianship. find a copy of "Faith,Hope, and Love", or "Gr...
