Re: like those breakfast gourds in Perelandra

"Beati Quorum Via" was one of the first things I sang in college chorale Thanks, tug, I was going to ask what the name of that piece was. Now you must tell me the composer so I can check our music library for it, if you'd be so kind  It's Charles Villiers Stanford, the famous teacher of Holst...

Hey, it was great to meet you. I didn't recognize you without your cowbell, but you looked like one of those Glass Hammer nerds. :D Thanks for introducing me to the other folks as well.

OK. I'm very tired, but very happy. The show was excellent. It was a pleasure meeting the fine folks from the board as well as the performers. I was only able to thank 5 of the Lee Choral Union members face to face, but I think I got everybody else. Back in 1997, I bought a disc called Wyzards - The...

If you want really high quality audiophile sound in a set of earbuds, but sure to check out the FS1 High Definition Earphones from Xtrememac. Absolutely top notch and well worth the money. Fantastic bass response with crystal clear midrange dynamics. And the high end trebles are sparkling. Yes, but...

Another dumb question.

Is the amplification going to be so loud that hearing protection is required? I'm bringing mine in case anyway, but I'm just curious about how loud the band plays.

Thanks.

I'm torn between two chunks, the one you'd like to etch fully on your ipod and this one:

He gathered me up
Took me on high
Where roamed only Thunder
'Neath shimmery sky

Couple of quick questions

Is the show general admission? My ticket says section "GA" row "GA" seat 662. I'm guessing the GA means general admission. I'm hoping anyway because if row GA is 208 rows back, I'm going to have to bring a telescope. Not that that would be considered unusual at a prog rock concert, but I'd hate to h...

I really wanna go

I could use some help though from any prayerful folks here. It's still on my anniversary, and my wife and boss at work have cleared me going. The wife won't be able to make it. She's going thru surgery this week on Wednesday, and is burning up a good chunk of her leave time at work for that. I'm wai...

Re: Dream Theater-Score

And what is this "Fingerboard continuim"-any help Fred? It's a combo af a steel guitar and keyboard soundwith a soft touch key pad. If I had a extra few thousand bucks ($5290 - yikes) lying around and nothing to do with it, I would buy me one. They look like immense fun. Rudess also plays it on the...

Speaking of side ventures - what about Susie?

Anything in the works or hopes? She asked in her bio at this site - "any good advice for us fans: Nope. Have any for me?" Yes - record an all Susie disc! :D I was going to suggest that she, Bethany, and Flo have a project called Warren Paris, but that already sounds too much like Wilson Phillips eve...

Re: Flo's Practice Room and Eric's A Remedy Raised

Practice Room is great. It's well done contemporary pop / folk / rock. If you're a fan of Sarah McLachlan (like Flo is), you'll probably like the disc. The song-writing is pretty good, and the performance is quite heartfelt. Flo has an awesome voice, so if you're merely listening for that reason, yo...

Laser's Edge store gets a facelift

My buddy Ken is too polite to spam the whole prog world so I wanted to help him get the word out. Check out the changes at: http://www.lasercd.com/ If you go to his forum there, you'll see his official announcement. If you click on the "G" section under CDs, you'll note that some bizarre quirk in hi...

Dalton - Taste The Sky

Besides loving epic wanktastic prog rock suites about ridiculous pagan nonsense about nymphs and dryads and other such imps and devils, I like a good, rousing simple melodic rock song every now and then also. It's easy to excited about changes in time signatures while forgetting that good music is e...
