Witch-King of Angmar?

I use the "Encyclopedia of Arda" as well as "The Thain's Book". for my Tolkein references. They are both online. However, I was looking for some info on the Witch-King of Angmar. I can't find and sources which give me any insight as to his origin, name, or anything. Did Tolkein leave out the info? I...

Yeah, you guys are probably right... I get kind of worked up when I go back to the books and realize PJ left something out. I have to remember that if PJ put everything , from the books, in the movie, we might still be watching the Fellowship of the Ring... I actually got those pics from this...

Bunch of questions...

Here's the first....

1. Who is Ghân-buri-Ghân?

2. Why do you all think the Barrow-Downs and Barrow-Wights were omitted from the movies?

3. I have seen pics of Glorinfindel, Tom Bombadil, and Radagast the Brown, and others that I never saw in the movies... Were they shot for something else?

I got this from the Enciclopedia of Arda... "The most powerful of all the Balrogs, one of the chief servants of Melkor, who held an authority hardly less than Sauron himself. A wily commander and fearsome fighter, Gothmog was often accompanied by others of his fiery kind, and at least in the Nirnaet...

I kind of think that as well. Especially because he omitted Tom Bombadil from the entire movie; yet doesn't Trebeard say something that Tom actualy said in the book?

I admit I haven't read the books for years and years. But, I remember Gothmog being a balrog. I don't remember him being an orc from the bettele at Pellennor Fields. Can someone elaborate?
