I would pay vast sums to hear this one...one of the funniest punk songs EVER!!

I've been going out with a girl, her name is Julie
But last night she said to me when we were watching telly
This is what she said.
She said "Listen John, I love you-but there's this bloke I fancy
I don't want to two-time you so it's the end for you and me."
"Who's this bloke?" I asked her. "Gordon "she replied
"Not that puff" I said dismayed. "Yes, but he's no puff" she cried
"He's more of a man than you'll ever be!"

Here we go, Two, three, four!

I was so upset that I cried all the way to the chip-shop.
When I came out, there was Gordon standing at the bus stop
And guess who was with him, Yeah, Julie
And they were both laughing at me.
Oh, she is cruel and heartless, to pack me for Gordon
Just 'cause he's better looking than me, Just 'cause he's cool and trendy.
But I know he's a moron, Gordon is a moron
Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron

Here we go, two, three, four!

Oh, she's a slug and he's a creep.
She's a tart , he's very cheap.
She is a slut, he thinks he's tough,
She is a bitch, he is a puff.
Yeah, yeah it's not fair, Yeah, yeah it's not fair
I'm so upset, I'm so upset, Yeah, yeah!

I ought to smash his face in, yeah, but he's bigger than me, in "e"
I know! I'll get my mate Barry to hit him, he'd flatten him!
Yeah, but Barry's a mate of Gordons's in "e"!
Oh, well! I don't care, oh, I don't care, I don't care
Yeah, Yeah

I thought the funniest punk song ever written was "Gob on You" from Not the Nine O'Clock News. It includes the immortal words:

Sex is boring, pain is fun,
I want to cut my fingers off one by one.

Will we ever here Glass Hammer sing that? I think not!

And while we're at it, here are two song titles (from real country songs) that Glass Hammer are also unlikely to use:

Get your tongue out of my mouth, because I'm kissing you goodbye.
They ain't making Jews like Jesus any more.
----
Five wizards came from the West. One sought knowledge, one power, one conversed with the animals and the other two got into blues

A workout tape to "It's Raining Men."

Arnold did one, and it's pretty funny

and disturbing.

"Blasst your biceps to twannytoo inchess..." Dude, that's the best.

I'm totally with Ted on the cover idea though - are you serious? Is that really a real song?
Workings of man crying out from the fires set aflame
By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly

You betcha!

The Lawnmower Deth one is just a load of old thrash nonsense.

The "Gordon Is A Moron" song was by Jilted John and was fab!

Here's a link to a performance of it from 78

I can't get it play on this rubbish laptop but you may have better luck.

'Ere we go! Two, three, four... :D

Lyrics you'll probably never hear on a G.H. song:

- Meet meet you in the ladys room.... (Kiss)
- Give Me All Your Love Tonight... (Whitesnake)
- Dirty deeds done dirt cheap... (ACDC)
- I wanna wrap you in rubber... (Aerosmith)

i'm so sorry but i realy love these rock cliché...
GH-fan, male, swede, lazy...

Lyrics you'll probably never hear in a G.H. song:

I have to admit, up until a couple of years ago, I would have included: "Longer than there've been stars up in the heavens, I've been in love with you."

Oh, and FIRST POST! :-) (I'm on other prog forums though)
