Been away for over tree weeks. My uncle died in a car accident so I had to go to Finnland for the funeral. I took my family with me so we wiseted some relatives there at the same time. It´s a 15 hour drive with the car and another 14 hours on different ferrys to get there. We visited relatives in their summer homes wich in Finnland means no running water no electricity no Tv no Internet and so on. It was really great meeting cousins I haven´t seen for the last 20 years or so. I was saved in this wilderness by my Mp3 louded with Progmusic. So I haave to work up on all what has been.

I'm sorry about your uncle. :( I'm glad you're back, though.

My sympathies to you and your family, Bozo. Glad you traveled safely, though.

By no means. Back before I moved to the Atlanta area, I'd drive here from SC several times a year to see my favorite bands play, and finally said, might as well just move there. It's more expensive to live here than in SC, but there's a far more active music scene here than in my hometown.

I've been to....... The Hospital. I was there a couple weeks ago had to stay 2 and a half days. I now have a bit of a heart condition. Thankfully I'm starting to feel like myself again as the meds are working. I had co-workers who thought I was on vacation. Yeah, I just wanted to stay in luxury with that amazing hospital food! At least one of my nurses was cute, about the only good thing being stuck there.....
And now for something completly different...

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, I'm back working. In fact, like an idiot I went back 5 days after leaving the hospital. Big mistake, as that first week I still felt as bad as when I first got sick. I was wheelchair bound that week and the next, since walking was very difficult. I would walk 20 feet and be winded, like I had run a mile or two. One the meds kicked in, I was walking again, thank goodness! I see the cardiologist again tomorrow, but I don't expect any surprises. I really do feel pretty good, and have nearly the same energy level as I did before. But this certainly did scare the heck out of me.

I've been on a quest to restock the studio with Yamaha RH-5Ma headphones.
Had only one pair left that had not shorted out after almost a decade of use.
Found a place that had a dozen in stock and purchased them all.
If your a devout fan of the Yamaha NS10 studio monitors these headphones are closest (to me at least) in accuracy to their sound.[/b]
On a crystal morning I can see the dewdrops falling
Down from a gleaming heaven, I can hear the voices calling
When you comin' home now, son, this world is not for you

Where have you "been to" for the past several months, FredProgGH? Has your evil twin/alter ego Prog Music's Frank finally released his hold on you? 8)

And the topic is back alive! 8)

I’ve been to :

Stream of Passion ft. Ayreon!

Some might know Arjen Lucassen (http://www.arjenlucassen.com/)
as the mastermind of Ayreon , Star one and some other 'projects'.

Lineup:

Arjen Lucassen - Guitars, Music
Marcela Bovio - Vocals, Lyrics, Violin
Lori Linstruth - Lead Guitars
Johan van Stratum - Bass
Alejandro Millán - Piano
Davy Mickers - Drums
Diana Bovio - Guest Vocals

Out in the real world Tour Jan 25, 2007 Lucky & Co, Rijssen (NL)

So where to begin ?

Well first there was the support act of Elistar. http://www.elister.nl/
The vocalist had a very strong voice and was good in giving the crowd a warm-up for the real thing. The bassist was very strong in this band. I could really feel the strings tokkle? in my thought. They weren't very proggy but more towards the Gothic rock scene.
After there performance they went of stage en mixed up with the crowd to see SoP themselves

Beginning with some bombastic rain, thunderstorm sounds the members entered the stage. First of the drummer started his loop for the first song.. followed by the bassist. Then others joined stage. The first very, very high notes of the main vocalist make me truly shiver. I could go on and on .. but all with all it was worth the money big time!
