Johan de Meij

I don't know if I should be posting this here or in the Tolkien section; its not really about books or moviess... :?

Has anyone ever heard Johan de Meij's 1st Symphony, "The Lord of the Rings." It is very unique, as it is scored for a concert band while 99 percent of the other serious symphonies out there are scored for an orchestra with a string section as its backbone. Anyway, I just thought you might be interested, being mostly a group of people interested in Tolkien and Music. :D My band director said that our wind ensemble is going to get to play the entire 5 movement piece next year, but she is not exactly the most reliable person when it comes to keeping her word, being consistent, and handing out music on time, if ever. If we do, it is going to be pretty cool. :D

Oh yeah, the five movements are:

1. Gandalf (The Wizard)
2. Lothlorien (Elvenwood)
3. Gollum (Smeagol)
4. Journey in the Dark: The Mines of Moria/ The Bridge of Khazad-Dum
5. Hobbits
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?
