Long and Long Ago - transcription

Post by igor » Mon Jun 19, 2006 10:59 pm

I haven't seen any other chat on the subject of transcriptions of GH music, so I took it upon myself this week to do a transcription of "Long and Long Ago."

I transcribed vocal, keyboard, guitar & bass parts (no drums.) I estimate it's about 60% accurate, maybe less! I just love GH music (especially the new album) and wanted to see what it looked like in score version (I'm a sheet music nerd, I guess.)

Anyways, if anyone is interested in seeing it, please let me know your email. It's in bmp format, 36 pages zipped to a 491 kB file. Thanks!

Someone might want to look at getting the utility to make PFD files, it sounds like :)

I've only glanced at the transcription but it looks like you did a good job with it! Bravo!

My ability to read music is pretty atrocious. I can usually figure things out pretty well (playing them is another thing entirely).

Please send a copy to...

Thanks, Bro.

Thanks to all for the kind words....I've finished "One King" as well (see separate topic on this subject.) This could get addicting!

I became a GH fan several years back on a chance purchase of "Lex Rex." I find "Inconsolable Secret" to be my favorite GH album (so far) and it's such a pleasure to be a fan of a prog band whose best years are not far behind them! (I tried to like "We Can't Dance" and "Open Your Eyes," really, I did!) :)

Looking forward to the next album!

Any transcription requests?
