Official GH Spam!! If you need headphones, check this out!

I've been going nuts trying to find decent sounding affordable headphones for my iPod and I found some I'm so amazed by I'm actually spamming the board *lol* They are made by KOSS, Amazon has them for ten bucks- that's $10- three freakin' Big Macs- a pop right now and the sound is worth easily four times that much, maybe more. They are allegedly out of production so if you need anything like this BUY THEM NOW.

I'm so blown away I did a customer review, which I never do :D

Optionally (an not so affordable) spring for a pair of AKG240s and you can tape the ipod or ipod nano into the arc of the upper head band.
Nothing like running around looking like a dufus by listening in headphones that dwarf the ipod, but the depth of the bass makes it worth it. :D

If you want really high quality audiophile sound in a set of earbuds, but sure to check out the FS1 High Definition Earphones from Xtrememac. Absolutely top notch and well worth the money. Fantastic bass response with crystal clear midrange dynamics. And the high end trebles are sparkling.

Well, they should sound great for 150 freakin' dollars :P :P

That's why the Koss really surprized me- they are 10 bucks. That's $5 per ear.

Yes, but the little spongies get all gunky after a couple of weeks. I recommend them as well. I got mine for $80 at Amazon a couple of months ago.

I like those too - but I prefer the now-discontinued k240 "monitor" version (600 ohms = no good for iPods). The newer 'studio' version (55 ohms = iPod friendly) have hyped lows & highs that tend to drive me nuts!

I have the ultimate most confidence in you Fred! Gotta be better than my last few, and MUCH cheaper.P.S.Are they flat enough where you can sleep with em on(lay flat).

Ummm, I wouldn't think so. Never tried it and they aren't huge, but I'm not sure that would be very comfortable.

Fred! they are AWESOME!

Holy Crap! I mean... they are a lot bigger and sturdier than the picture implied, but they sound GREAT, not too much bass, but they are very secure on the ear, I was listening to some Glass Hammer on my iPod Nano last night, just superb.

Definately the best $15 pair of headphones imaginable.

Yeah truthfully, they really do a nice job of not killing the mid-highs.

'Bout my only compaint is that the cord is just *slightly* too short.

I concur! I'm having a little trouoble getting used to that style of earpiece, but the souod quality is phenomenal. I've listened to Opeth-Damnation, Blackfield, and TFTO, oh and MEW-so far!
