Iggy Pop's Rider

Post by Flo Paris » Tue Jun 05, 2007 4:30 pm

This is the funniest rider I have ever read.
I've read Britney Spears' and some others that are just plain annoying, but this one made me laugh.

I especially like the request for Broccoli and Cauliflower on page 16 of EIGHTEEN.
Glass Hammer should put together a totally outrageous rider.
What would it include?
Probably a lot of baby food, since there are practically enough kids to fill a day care between all of us.

Yep, it's a classic that has made the rounds for many years. Most classic riders involve food- Van Halen had the infamous "no brown M&M" clause and allegedly BOC had a rider that prohibited "any form of recognizable food".

Sweet Junior Gibson. I nearly strangled myself trying not to laugh so loud as to wake my roomies. So, Flo, did the rider for the "Practice Room" CD release show look anything like that? :P
Quikrete - the biggest name in concrete since Jimmy Hoffa.

Iggy just wanna be your dog.

Legend in Ann Arbor (back in the 70s) was that he was the valedictorian at Pioneer High School in his day. The answer is probably on the web somewhere.

He was one of those rare vocalists who's performing style often led physical injury to his person.
If I hadn't believed it, I wouldn't have seen it.

it reads like a lost Monty Python script
On a crystal morning I can see the dewdrops falling
Down from a gleaming heaven, I can hear the voices calling
When you comin' home now, son, this world is not for you
