I'm so proud, and so jealous at the same time Fred! I was enjoying running so much when i was doing it 2-3yrs. ago-many times while listening to GH on the MP3 player! I ran my own 5k's(and more) several times, but never got around to an official race-which i wanted to badly! 33min. is AWESOME for your first race! Keep up the good work, and who knows maybe I'll get back out there sometime soon.Peace,David.P.S.Tell Rebecca and Susan-way to ROCK too!

Yay Fred!! Better than I could do, by far!
Now also if you get really good, you can take a big long sign that says "GLASS HAMMER" and attach it streaming from your back, and then randomly run through public places while doing your best to sing clips of lex rex in multivox!! Great advertising.

Yeah- I was totally eating Fred's dust on Saturday.

He did great! Sus and I are planning to run another 5k at the end of this month- we're totally addicted to racing! Wanna come, Fred?
Today I considered the Turkey Trot again- I really wanna do it! I did it last year and it was definitely my best race ever. I finished in 50 minutes. I hate that I'll probably miss it this year.

Wow, the Trot in 50. Hills and all- that's amazing. I hope I can just finish it...

No- it's the Carter Hope 5k in Dalton. We did it last year and it was a great flat course. It was our first 5k. And there weren't many people so it's easier to place.

Less competition!

Man, I'm getting tired just looking at the photos!
Of course, I'm normally a 20 minute man for 5K but I've got this damned war wound and the wind was in the wrong direction and I'd used the wrong lacing pattern on my shoes...
...er...
...well done, athletes all!!

They finally posted official results: I was at 32:50. I think they burned me out of 10 seconds, but no biggie

. Overall standing was 131 out of 152. Some good runners turned out for this race- winning time was 16:29- that guy ran three 5 1/2 minute miles!

And like, 90 people were under 25 minutes. But I'm still a happy camper for someone who never expected to be able to walk across the room to the TV without breathing hard
Hey Rebecca, I'm good to go for Dalton!!
