It's funny because I was just talking about a Rock Band Keyboard with some of my friends. Imagine playing Hoedown...

If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

See, the point of rockband is that you don't have to know HOW to really play the instruments

tons of keyboards are MIDI compatable, so i doubt that would be a problem as far as connectivity...

maybe they could do something with chords, or make a seperate mode for keys... not sure

I think that's why they haven't done it. Having a keyboard with just 8 big colored buttons would seem pretty goofy. You're not wearing anything or doing anything that makes you feel cool.

Not to mention each color would have to be different. From far away, it'd look as though you were playing with a big box of crayons. :P

I know, at least on my end, I never did or will expect it to happen. Like you said, Fred, it's just ridiculous. Now, as for a non-ridiculous instrument, they could add a triangle. That would be pretty sweet.

EDIT: Fixed spelling.

Did someone mention the triangle - now you're talkin'...lemme at it!

I must admit when I read the thread title I was thinking more along the lines of a board game...how quaint! :P

I can imagine a Glass Hammer Monopoly. The band members would be the pieces ("I get to be Fred!" "No, I wanna be Fred! You're always Fred!"), and the properties would be the songs, and their rent would be the length of the song. Court of Alkinoos would be Park Place and KotN would be Boardwalk. It would be sweet.

Dang- I can't believe Paul and Yoko havn't thought of pimping out Beatleopoly yet. It's perfect- Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields... the tokens could be stuff like Maxwell's Silver Hammer, or a hit of blotter acid, or a Yellow Submarine...

I'd play as the Weeping Guitar, myself...

I guess the Boardwalk property would be Abbey Road...

I can just see the Community Chest card now;

You meet a squeaky-voiced Japanese woman
Lose your marbles
Never release another decent record

Didn't John meet her around 66 or 67? She may have had a huge hand in breaking up the band, but didn't prevent Lennon from writing some incredible music from 67 to 69. All down hill after that as far as I'm concerned.
And now for something completly different

I never let the facts get in the way of a cheap shot! 8)
