Born Of Hope - A LotR Prequel

Post by SuperTed » Thu Feb 11, 2010 11:15 am

I think there's a few Tolkien fans on here :P so grab your Lembas bread and a mug of ale, load up on some Longbottom Leaf and park it for an hour or so to watch

http://bornofhope.com/Watch.html

It's a fan film recounting the tale of Arathorn and Gilraen and some kid of theirs...

All for 20-grand or so too!

We actually submitted music for this film's trailer and never heard a word back about it. And if I must say so myself (and it seems I must) our track ROCKED!
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I'll give it a watch and post my thoughts sometime! :D

Just got back from district band (alto sax), though, so my chops and my brain need rest... :)
Luke 6:27-31
27 "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

That seems odd - maybe they had the music locked by that stage. It's more likely that their taste in books far outweighs their taste in music, though!

Well now, since you've got this music just sitting around doing nothing....ahem...download...ahem....

I'm sure that's the case - but they were still requesting music on their site at the time. I emailed a couple of times hoping at least for the polite 'turn-down', but never got a response from any of the people associated with the production.
But yes - that music will show up sooner or later :)

Woo!

By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly[/i][/color]

Cool trailer, amazing what they could do on such a low budget. But I still want to hear the GH music, good to know it will see the light of day.
And now for something completly different
