GH Live

Sounds great Steve! I'd surely like to see the new faces. Hope I'll can hear them play too. It sounds really difficult to prepare a live performance especially with new players. Do you already have a list of the songs you'll play? I already know from confidential source ;-) that Tales Of The Great Wars will be one of them (terrific!)

Can't wait for an interesting reply :D

Will you take some pictures and make interviews? Then you'll have a lot to place on your website! I'm so jealous...

My parents won't let me go to NEARfest, even though two of my favorite bands are playing (Glass Hammer and The Flower Kings). My mom's fried had a friend who grew up near Trenton and she said it is dirty. Hopefully I can get a bootleg or something.
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused

Yes, I'm going to take lots of pictures. Lots and lots. And get a lot of exclusive interviews, if I can think up enough questions... (but as Steve knows, I don't find being inquisitive too hard... lol):-D I'm excited. It will be fun. I'm sorry you can't come. :( That would be cool to get to meet you both. The Flower Kings - I've constantly heard them compared to GH but I've never actually heard their music. And now I might actually get to hear them live! That's so awesome!!

You should check them out. They have lots of mellotron and odd, shifting time signatures. Their sound is a little edgier, and they are more guitar oriented with less keyboards than GH.

Wow! New people! Hi, Theremin. What;s your connection to Glass Hammer? And out of curiosity, what's your buddy icon of? Welcome to the forum.
Fingolfin beheld the ruin of the Noldor. Filled with wrath and despair he rode forth alone. A madness of rage was upon him; his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar.
He came alone to Angband and challenged Morgoth to single combat.

And Morgoth came.

Well.. I was looking on Amazon.com and the little thing near the bottom of the page about Spock's Beard's "Snow", it said that if you liked Spock's Beard, you might like Glass Hammer. So, I checked it out and I actually like them better! My icon is the cover of Pink Floyd's pre-DSOTM album "Meddle." Most of the songs on it are prety forgetrtable (to most people) except for Echoes. The song Seamus is one of Pink Floyd's most generally hated songs. It features the members of Pink Floyd playing a simple blues song while a friend's dog howls. The dog was trained to bark whenever it heard the blues. Isn't that cool? Anybody? Didn't think so. :(

I thought your icon looked vaguely familar, Theremin. I'm a little partial to Animals, myself, but then, I'm open to different things (like Ummagumma. Now that's some weird stuff).

On a completely different note, I won't be at NEARfest (money, location, etc.), but best of luck to the band, and let me know what an awesome performance I missed. :)

I also like animals more than Meddle :D

I just picked this because it is less recognizable and there aren't any other blue avatars on this forum.

Do the Flower Kings have a web site? Is there anywhere online where I can listen to their music? mp3.com wasn't very helpful...
