Hello, fellow fans! (from a forum newbie)

Post by dr.amy » Fri Mar 25, 2005 8:13 am

I just wanted to say hi to my fellow GH fans, as I am new to the boards. I wouldn't say I have a favorite GH album (how can you choose?), but my favorite GH memory is seeing the band perform "The King's Beer" live (and in costume!) at Medieval Times in Toronto for the Gathering of the Fellowship. I am a writer/scholar/instructor/speaker (you can find out more about me at http://home.mindspring.com/~ahsturgis ), but at the moment my biggest claim to fame is my relationship with the forthcoming "'Past Watchful Dragons': Fantasy and Faith in the World of C.S. Lewis" conference, which I couldn't be more excited about (especially, of course, GH's The Inconsolable Secret concert!). I hope to see many of you in Nashville in November!

Wishing you a terrific day,
AHS

Thanks! :) I've lurked for ages, but I decided I'd take the plunge and join in!

Hey AMY!
Amy is a very good friend to the band, and someone I rely on from time to time to tell me whether or not I'm doing the right thing with the upcoming "Inconsolable Secret". She's been kind enough to listen to my ravings on several occasions, and that has been a VERY big help. I do believe you'll find her name in the 'thank-you section' of Shadowlands.
Glad you're here. We'll certainly enjoy your input in the Tolkien sections.
Steve

Hey there, Steve! Thank you for the very lovely welcome. It was indeed a great day when I bought my first GH album, and I am delighted to be counted among the fans here. Do you know what the very best part of following GH's music is? Always knowing that, despite the many albums of outstanding music GH already has created, the very best is yet to come! :)

LOL! I do, as a matter of fact. When I get near my scanner, I may just have to share! :)
