Spock + Bilbo + freaky dancer ladies

Post by Sam Gamgee » Sat Sep 13, 2003 11:02 pm

I have no idea if any of you have seen this, but here is the most strange and disturbing (but hilarious) little music video I've ever seen. Leonard Nimoy singing a song about Bilbo, with a few proglike chords and really weird dancing people. They dance kind of like rabbits. Rabid rabbits. Freaky.

does this disturb no one else?

Ah! Nimoy! The father of Tolkien-inspired prog! Have I never told you? This was our inspiration!!
Actually, I've heard of this but never saw it. Thanks for the link.

 So does that mean you're going to hire some rabid rabbit dancers in colored sweatshirts for Toronto? ;)

I finally saw this, I nearly laughed by butt off!

Best of all, Nimoy still has his Spock haircut. 8) Does anyone know what this is from? A childrens show? I can't imagine what posessed him to do this.

Not very Vulcan of you  I think this easily tops Shatner and Mr. Tamborine Man.

I was almost too embarrased to watch it. It was painful.

One of these days the person who conceived this video will undergo this strange metamorphosis called "getting a job." Yes, sports fans, he will actually do something besides take up space in the corner booth at the Bahama Breeze, counting the fronds on yonder palm tree and getting tanked on Canadian Mist. Never point a loaded imagination at a video camera unless you intend to use it.

I realize that I'm a year late in chiming in here; but I think one of the reasons this video is a bit on the weirder side is becasue it was done in the 1960's...

Well, thank you Mr. Stater-of-the-Obvious Sir!
I'm not quite sure I would have figured that one out on my own ;-)
