I think you mean:

Beneath the roof of sleeping leaves the dreams of trees unfold;
When woodland halls are green and cool, and wind is in the West

For the record, i saw the original post, which was significantly different from Sam's edited version you now see. You can't escape the truth :lol: ...
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?

So Sam, come clean. Which of those hatemail letters was yours? :)

I don't get the FIGWIT thing. I mean, granted, I'm not a preteen girl, but I think he's goofy looking.

I think he is a stand in for Glorfindel. "Hmm. This scene looks empty. We need more elves!" What's the point of having people at a meeting like that if they don't DO anything? You'd think it was a scene from Office Space, with the looks they have on their faces. "You, are you sleeping?" "Wha? Me? No, the sun was in my eyes. When did the Dwarves get here?"

The only people who speak in that scene are Elrond and members of the fellowship. I wonder how many people read the book after seeing the movie and got dizzy when they came to the Council. It still cracks me up that half of the people at the council make their first and last appearance there and all just talk and talk and talk.

So much like real life it makes you suspicous.

I would have probably sent the humorless tolkien purist, but it was already taken care of. No, actually, I think it's hilarious to laugh at. I have a sense of humor, just a very mocking, belittling one, when it comes to people so pathetic. ;) At least I'm amused!

I just think it's funny. I don't think the guy takes it too seriously either. :P
