Hi Choir,

After talking with a few of you, and with GH, we're strongly leaning towards black for stage wear. This will 'show' better on the DVD, and fit is a problem with t-shirts for some of the singers. Black is also generally considered 'standard' concert attire. Black jeans and any solid black shirt of your choosing was what we were thinking. Feel free to post your thoughts.

I heartily agree. Black is a very good color. :D

Cool! Im glad to hear about particulars like wardrobe, it means the time is getting close :D I cant wait to meet you all and start singing. Well I just got my black jeans today but I dont know what shirt I want to wear. Should they be t-shirt type or a little more dressy?? long- sleves or short?? I kinda wanted to know what a lot of the other choir memebers were thinking of wearing when I pick out the shirt I want to bring cause we kinda want a similarity here, right? well anyway. Dont forget it will be soooooo hot! That is my bet anyway, stage lights are always hot plus it will be late June and with all of us being excited to be there and cramed in close together on risers....it will be hot. So I'm not wearing anything heavy (ie turtle necks are out for me!! we are already wearing black, lol)

The shirt can be whatever you're comfortable in. I suppose longer sleeves are preferable if I had to say, but really, whatever you are comfortable with is fine. I will have on sleeves just below the elbow, but that's my preference for conducting comfort. The simpler the better, for many reasons including looks. Black bottoms are ideal, but we're not going to be very visible from the waist down, so please don't feel that you have to buy something new if you don't happen to have black pants/jeans. Any dark bottoms are likely to be fine.

Shoes?

Post by bb » Tue Jun 24, 2003 11:44 am

What about shoes? I have a choice of:
- black dress shoes which are noisy (clunk, clunk, clunk)
- white running shoes which are reasonably quiet

Preference?

Whatever is more comfortable and conducive to singing while standing ... the audience isn't going to see much of your feet due to all of the other instrumentation on stage, and we're in the back as well.
