Nearfest was amazing, I think I had the best time yet out of all 7 I've seen. Kenso blew the roof off the place, just a mind numbing performance. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Le Orme was strong too, just overshadowed having to followup Kenso. Also loved Frogg Cafe, PFM & Proto-Kaw. Wobbler was pretty cool, IQ and the Muffins were better than I expected. Mathew Parmenter? Booooring! I don't get it, it seemed to go on forever. He was funny though. Present? Those guys need to be locked up...

Got to meet GH of course, finally talked to Steve, and luckily to Bethany. Yeah, I have a bit of a crush on her. She's a sweetheart. I did make a mistake, I had Fred and Steve sign the CD on the front, not leaving room for Roger Dean! But he gladly signed the back. Got one of those great calendars too!
And now for something completly different...

I tend to agree with your review with the exception of loving PFM and really like Mathew's solo set a lot. Maybe he is an aquired taste but I think he's a tremendous talent. Did you ever listen to his old band, Discipline??

Heck! I don't even know what a chitlin' is. I know what a 'mess o' grits' is though.

cmon out to philly- ill get you a real philly cheesesteak with fried onion and tender beef on a soft italian roll. Or perhaps the best soft pretzels in the world, baked with a bit of apple cidar vinegar for a perfect taste.
