"Reviews"

Post by idoron » Tue Apr 06, 2004 1:11 pm

I'm going to post the first review since I seem to be the only posting person who has seen it (that isn't in GH).

Hmmm. Just realized I don't have a lot to say. It's good, but not as good as seeing Lex performed live (duh!). I am probably not imparital since (1) I was there for the filming and (2) my wife is in it. So, steering clear of all issues related to that I will reiterate, it's good but nothing compared to being there for a live show (especially if you could make it to a venue like Guido's in Nashvegas). But since the number of people who can/have/will see GH live is small, the DVD is great. You must buy!

Matt's operatic finale has to be experienced in person. :D

BTW, neither this, nor anything else in that "review" was sarcastic.

The Guido's show was cool because it was really loud in a small ("intimate") setting. Acoustics weren't perfect, but the energy more than made up for it.

It was so loud that Eric and I still hear the ringing in our ears! 8)

What a show!

Post by smurfdm » Mon May 10, 2004 8:55 am

I am a very fortunate individual as Steve and Fred have allowed me to pre-view the DVD just as it's about to be released. All I can say is WOW! I was at the taping and enjoyed the show live but with such a large crowd I was forced to sit near one set of the main speakers, my ears are still ringing, hehe. With the DVD I can experience the event as often as I would like while being able to hear it as it was meant to be heard. You guys are great and the DVD is awesome. I can't wait to hear your next CD and if we all keep pushing them, I'm sure we can convince them to do a DVD to go with it as well. Keep up the good work guys!

Thanks much for the advance review. I've heard back from a couple of reviewers and so far so good. I think you will all be very pleased with the show!
As a matter of fact, I saw box after box of DVDs leaving the studio today, and heading for the post office - one day early! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:
PLEASE POST GOOD REVIEWS TO AMAZON.COM!!! The DVD is already listed there.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

AFter tomoroow (Last AP test!) I am going to order my DVD and my shirt. Oh yeah... :D
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?

Yes, welcome! :cat: I don't know if a cat is really appropriate, but it is a severely underused emoticon!
