Well I've seen it now about 1,000 times. I can tell you it gets better and better until around the 500th viewing.rufusboy wrote:I got it too! Only watched the first two tracks, but loving it so far. Unfortunately I have to do a buch of other things before watching the rest.

AWW! I was working late yesterday so I didn't get to watch it until today...
Wow, I am SOO sorry I wasn't at that concert-
It was great to see the lineup you had there, especially Carl on guitar and keys as well- his confidence for the material really shows compared to the Belmont show...
I really loved the treatment of 'Longer' - I thought at first you all really WERE going to play it straight, but awesome!
Knight of the North was incredible - I miss seeing my hand punch in the air to 'And he died' though =p
Having caught a glimpse, my god- I was in tears... *TEARS* i say... the choir was soo much stronger and confident.... just beautiful....
I'm sure I;ll have more thoughts soon, but Steve, Fred, etc.... great work!

I've only watched about 20 minutes, but I'm loving what I'm hearing. Well shot too. I agree about Carl seeming more confident here -not that he's bad on the Belmont DVD. And the female vocals easily live up to the very high GH standard. Susie just gets better and better, a great live performer. And how about lovely little sister Bethany? I mean this in the most respectful way, she sings as great as she looks! Hopefully I watch more of this tonight, and maybe give an actual review...
And now for something completly different

i agree. she sings sooooo well over the whole dvd. her and carl together is very sweet to the ears!widowspeak wrote:I cannot get over what a tremendous job Bog-D does on SSOTS. The CD version is great, but this is at another level. She did an amazing job. One of many highlights from this DVD. Great concert guys !!!
If left is wrong I don't wanna be right...
Awesome performance, but I did notice some sountrack issues during a few times where it was a fraction of a second off. Loved the closing with "South Side of the Sky", and I got a kick out of the chorus rocking out to this. I really have to make an effort to see GH live this summer. I'm not terribly thrilled with the overall festival lineup, but I may just go to see GH, we shall see.

i can totally understand how it being a festival may make it a bit more expensive, and there are other bands you have to sit through, but i would definitely go there if i had the chance ... i would love to see this awesome band live, to share in the experience/atmosphere with others in the audience, but i live on the other side of the globe. alas dvd's will suffice and i'm very grateful for fred & steve sacrificing their time & money for us overseas fans. Thankyou!yanks07 wrote:Awesome performance, but I did notice some sountrack issues during a few times where it was a fraction of a second off. Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the Tivoli dvd - it appears to be unavailable here as well as Amazon, Ebay, Laser's Edge, CD Universe, etc.

I got mine used from some guy here in Brazil...really can't remember at all.
I love this, mainly for Knight of the North, it's a little too fast but still perfect!
