90% of the instruments are recorded. Vocal recording has begun. Rough mixes sound great. We hope to begin mixing in around 4 weeks depending on the vocal recordings.
Any questions ????
Steve
PS: This was "not" going to be a concept album. But now it is

Its not a story like TIS, but there is a definate theme running throughout.

Not yet, but maybe soon. I may try to make a short strictly instrumental sampler.

HMMM.
A non conceptual concept album.
Fascinating.
BTW, I quit working for the company I have spent the last 16 yrs at.
I am determined to get back behind a lighting console while I still can!
As of TODAY I AM free! Unemployed but freely so. And by choice.
I haven't felt this good since I left the Andy Stump & Stick Show!
Wish me luck and keep your ears open for me!

Can you tell us what that concept is-and where you got the name(which I love BTW).I'm curious if this is an observation of reality,or wishful thinking(fantasy)?

And can you tell everyone about the guest appearance that Fred alluded to in another thread?

A true paradox huh? You need to see "Pan's Labyrinth"-the best mix of fantasy and reality I think I've ever seen depicted on screen!-Seriously!

Getting to the top of any given mountain was considered much less important than how one got there," Krakauer writes of "the culture of ascent." "Prestige was earned by tackling the most unforgiving routes with minimal equipment, in the boldest style imaginable. Nobody was admired more than so-called free soloists: visionaries who ascended alone, without rope or hardware."

It's funny-Elric and I were both in the same room hearing a sneak preview of the album-He says "It's not much of a departure, but different", I say its a real departure(a true sign of evolving, maturing musicians-never static). You all can decide in a little while whose right(HEHE).
P.S. I AMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could it be that in a Roundabout way, Fred was trying to Awaken in All God's Children, memories of the Wondrous Stories that Steve And You And I talked about a while ago regarding a possible collaboration with a certain well known musician who was not born in America? I know Steve said that it would happen All In A Matter of Time, and there were rumors that The Meeting took place, could it be that it is finally happening? What a Shock to the System this could be!
Well I am Holding On to the hope that this is indeed the case!

Oooh, I am so jealous. Please tell me this album won't be out before August 11... (If I have to hear people gloating about it when I'm in Japan, oceans away...)
I'm so excited, guys!!!
Workings of man crying out from the fires set aflame
By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly

Definitely not by August. The reality is with the time it takes to duplicate September will be pushing it (as far as an actual release). The album itself will be finished much sooner.
