GH Top Twelve Lists!

Post by Sam Gamgee » Sat Feb 08, 2003 10:58 pm

I always get bored of the number 10, so I decided to make a Glass Hammer Top Twelve List...

I had a VERY hard time deciding, because I have so many favorites, and for so many different reasons... How do you compare how much you love a good proggy song to how much you love a medievally one? It's tough. I'll probably edit this post a lot, but at the moment, my top twelve list is as follows.

Here we go...

12. Morannon Gate / Anduril

11. The Palantir

10. Ariana / Something's Coming

9. Only Red / The Wind

8. Song of the Dunadan

7. As I Walk / Empty Space/Revealer

6. Further Up and Further In / Mithrandir

5. Revelation/Chronometry / No Way To Her Heart

4. The Last Ship

3. Tales of the Great Wars

2. Morning Song / When We Were Young

1. Heaven / Heroes and Dragons

So that's my opinion, anyway. What do you all think?
Workings of man crying out from the fires set aflame
By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly

Way to fit 22 songs on a top twelve list ;)

No one ever picks *my* favorite song!! I'm not telling...

I know. I'm quite good at bending the rules. :) But honestly, do you expect me to choose only twelve from all the wonderful masterpieces you've written?!!?! I don't have superpowers!

Ok, i have to revise my list now, after hearing WWWY in full choir. My ONLY problem with that song has been that the choir part was so quiet it was kind of anticlimactic. But now it all becomes clear. So let's try this again.

GH TOP TWELVE LIST

12. Morannon Gate / Anduril

11. The Palantir / Elrenn and Endereth

10. Ariana / Something's Coming

9. Only Red / The Wind

8. Song of the Dunadan / Morning Song

7. Empty Space/Revealer

6. Revelation/Chronometry / As I Walk

5. Further Up and Further In

4. No Way To Her Heart / Mithrandir

3. One King / The Last Ship

2. Heroes and Dragons / Tales of the Great Wars

1. Heaven / When We Were Young

Ha, look at that, Fred! 22 again! It must be magic.

Change of mind yet again: Heroes and Dragons bumped up to #1 - a three way tie.

And Fred, the first time there was only 20 songs! Revlation/Chronometree and Empty Space/Revealer are the names you picked, with the confusing slash and everything - still one track and thus one song, or at least to my understanding. So only 20 the first time. :-p Ha!
