Re: behind the great beyond
Two of them play at my church on Sundays. I've known Susan since she was just out of high school. Susan also performs with Eric Parker from our live group. We've hired them to play on other projects, and thought we might benefit from their talents as well. We even took them to Toronto with us last December. They are here at the studio working on albums with us frequently.DruidsGlass wrote:where did you guys import your string players from?

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Obviously I'm playing catch-up.
I've visited one church that had strings - sometimes. I'd be plenty happy to hear of others in Southern Middle Tennessee that I could visit, and perhaps find an outlet for my fantasies of actually *playing* my stringed instrument!
Offline, if that's appropriate.
We may be moving closer to Chattanooga in the near future.

Ecce quam bonum et quam iucundum habitare fratres in unum.
I have a roughed-up 5/8-size string bass that needs more attention than it's getting right now.
I played that and a fretless electric with a folk/bluegrass type of band last year, which is fun but not really my style.
I may play with the university orchestra next fall but that won't be
possible if we move down closer to the city.
