4-track recorders

Post by Theremin » Mon Jun 21, 2004 10:16 pm

Next saturday, my friends and I are traveling to a discount music store for an activity. I am thinking of purchasing a portable 4-track recorder. From what I am reading on the internet, the Zoom PS-04 seems like a possibility. My sax/theory teacher also has good things to say about the Tascam Pocketstudio 5. Does anyone have any experience with either of these or any other suggestions/thoughts? Thanks! :D
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?

An 8-track is like a cassette. A digital 4-track recorder lets you record 4 separate tracks of music and play them together. Does anyone know anything about these?

Yeah, mayn opf the older variety used cassete tapes, and you could mik up to 4 channels into them

the newer ones use digital technology to record 4 seperate tracks at once, to a CD-RW. I would go with the Tascam.
