GH Friday night Party Info

Post by MayorOfLongview » Wed Oct 19, 2005 8:18 am

Well, not really a party, but a dinner. Should be suitable for the smaller folk, and the rest of us as well. I let Matt Mendians decide since he lives in Nashvegas. If you don't like it - blame him!
Actually it'll probably be great. Here's what he says in his email this morning...

Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery located at 1918 W End Av,
Nashville. I booked it for 6:30 PM central. The phone # is (615) 327-9969. I booked the party under Glass Hammer.

Now, we need a show of hands. Who will come to the feast ?(Dutch!)
Gooderns to all!

You know, I booked tix for the David Payne play for that night but I could be persuaded to blow that off (is that a common expression?) if we get into a bit of a groove!

I love Dutch food! (kidding!)

Now, where's this place on a map?

Hold on...Restaurant and Brewery?

EDIT: Guess what, we're staying at 1919 West End Av.!!

I'm told it is right across the street from the hotel (Courtyard Marriot I think???) Gee, where am I staying?

Just for you Steve, here's some words from the immortal Lemmy...

(Delete as applicable!)

Another town another place,
Another girl, another face,
Another truck, another race,
I'm eating junk, feeling bad,
Another night, I'm going mad,
My woman's leaving, I feel sad,
But I just love the life I lead,
Another beer is what I need,
Another gig my ears bleed,
We Are The Road Crew
Another town I've left behind,
Another drink completely blind,
Another hotel I can't find,
Another backstage pass for you,
Another tube of super glue,
Another border to get through,
I'm driving like a maniac,
Driving way to hell and back,
Another room a case to pack,
We Are The Road Crew
Another hotel we can burn,
Another screw, another turn,
Another Europe map to learn,
Another truckstop on the way,
Another game that I can play,
Another word I learn to say,
Another blasted customs post,
Another bloody foreign coast,
Another set of scars to boast,
We Are The Road Crew

I haven't eaten at Blackstone in a few years, but the food is good. I remember the prices weren't exorbi-thefty, but they aren't on the cheap end either. I remember it being in the fifteen to twenty dollar range per meal after tip and tax.

Of course, I could just pass along the URL: http://www.blackstonebrewery.com/

Wish I could join you, but I've never been that active on the boards and I don't think I know anyone anymore.

Aw, come on, it'll be fun! And hey, I've always been here, so you'd have to at least have seen me around. And Steve and Fred... That makes three people!

Sam and Rumpska,

You do have a point. Hrm... Looks like I have plans for Friday night then. Unless I'm kidnapped to juggle and do little monkey dances in the Prancing Pony, I'll be there.
